RESCUED ANIMALS IN NEED OF ADOPTION

If you are thinking about adding an animal to your home, please consider the cats and dogs listed here. Many have been desexed or received some vaccinations, depending on their ages. These animals deserve to find loving families.

Before you adopt any animal, please consider your future plans. Cats and dogs can live up to 20 years. Only take in a pet if you are certain that you will be able to care for it and bring it with you if you move away.

We currently do not charge for adoptions, but we do accept (and appreciate) donations to help cover vaccinations and surgeries for future rescued animals. PPAWS has no funding, and all treatments are paid for by volunteers. We also hope that you will have your PPAWS cat or dog desexed at the appropriate age, if we have not done so already.

If interested, contact Nicky by phone (017-293-654), Facebook, or email (nicola.scales@gmail.com).

Dogs

QUIN

QUIN – FEMALE – 1 YEAR

QUIN – FEMALE

This amazing dog lives with paralyzed back legs, but she has taught herself to walk around by pure will and strength. Quin is very sweet, attentive and highly intelligent. She previously lived in an enclosure at Wat Teuk Thla, and while the monks and other pagoda residents cared for her, it was recognized that her life could be much better. If you have a grassy yard, a spacious house, and the time, love, and money to take in this great dog and give her the lifelong home she deserves, please call Nicky at 017-293-654, email PPAWS or contact us through Facebook if you think she is right for your family. Find more photographs and information on our blog.

March 2013: Quin has had one of her legs amputated and can now move more easily without the extra weight.

If you would like to be added to a waiting list for future dogs, please contact us with your name and basic information. Please include the following:

  • - What size dog could you adopt? (note that it can be difficult to predict the full size of a puppy)
  • - Male/female?
  • - Puppy or older dog? (we usually take in puppies)
  • - Are you willing to take on ‘hard’ cases (i.e. injured or handicapped animals)?
  • - Would you be interested in fostering a dog until a permanent home is found?

PLEASE NOTE! We are not animal dealers. We are not a pet shop. We are not a shelter. At this stage we rarely have more than one dog at a time. We will not track down a dog of specific breed or color for you. This information is simply to help us find the best possible home for future rescued dogs.
