Kompong Chhnang June 2017

In June 2017 the PPAWS Veterinary team working a member of the US Peace Corps organised a mission to a village, Kompong Chhnang due to some escalating issues with local dogs.

The primary objective was to conduct an Anti-Rabies vaccination programme and perform Animal Birth Control surgery. Our team vaccinated around 50 dogs and cats and completed over a dozen spays and neutering of both cats and dogs and, treated various cases of mange, de-worm and de-flea and, managed to help a poor young rabbit too!

Our thanks go to Tiguen for arranging the visit – it was a very successful exercise and a good opportunity to educate the villagers on the benefits of Anti-Rabies vaccinations for the health of their animals and protection of their families.
